Season 6 Episode 10: The Smiley Face Killers - Part 1

Since the mid 1990’s, hundreds of young men, mostly college students, have disappeared after leaving a bar or a party, only to strangely turn up dead later in a local lake or river. Are these all just drunken accidents, or is there someone (or something) systematically killing these people?
In this episode…the first of two parts…Krista and Kurt look at some of these strange cases where Missing 411 meets true crime.

Season 6 Episode 9: Side Sessions Preview - The Dice Man

Krista is recuperating from her operation this week (she’s doing well!!!), so this week’s episode is a short Side Sessions preview that was released for Ko-Fi subscribers last November. In 1971, George Cockcroft (under the pseudonym Luke Reinhart) released a novel called The Dice Man. This novel set the stage for “dice living” or making all of your decisions based on a roll of the dice. In this episode, Kurt and Krista look at Rhinehart’s novel and the idea of living your life on the path of chance.

Season 6 Episode 8: Lora Snedegar

*NOTE* - The topic discussion starts at 10:16. On April 15th, 1982, the body of 22-year-old Lora Snedegar was discovered in a farmer’s field, dead from gunshot wounds to the head. What followed the discovery of the body was a bizarre tale of mysterious phone calls, strange maps, letters buried in coffins, and ultimately, the deaths or strange disappearances of at least 5 people.
In this Skype episode, Krista and Kurt look into the death of Lora, and the bizarre circumstances that followed. Due to us not being together in person, there’s no taste-test. But there are listener questions.

Season 6 Episode 7: Follow-Up - John Titor, The Tait House, and The Mothman

They revisit time-traveler John Titor, the strange sounds and other weirdness coming from underneath the Tait house in Wales, and they look at The Mothman and its recent visits to Chicago’s O’Hare airport! And, as always, a taste-test and listener questions!

Casolaro had been investigating something he called “The Octopus”, a conspiracy theory that spans decades and touches on dozens of other conspiracy theories. Was it suicide, though, or something else? In this episode, Krista and Kurt look into the strange death of Danny Casolaro. And, as always, a taste-test and listener questions!

For the first story, back in an episode in season 4, we talked about people who were receiving cryptic letters from someone named Matthew Thornton. Well, we received three letters (and two voicemails) from him! And in the second story, we discuss the bizarre event that happened in 1987 to William and Minnie Winston and their Atlanta home.
